Pan is quite attractive and works beautifully for paella making. I had much better luck getting all the ingrediants done at the same time than I have in the past.

I got this 18" pan for Christmas...a great gift...but with one problem the 18" ONE DOES NOT FIT IN MY OVEN (I finish my Paella on the bottom rack, it heats more uniform than the stove) the measurement is the bottom of the pan, and DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SIDES AND LIP OF THE PAN!

But it was a great pan and I didn't want to return it so I ended up buying a second pan, the 15" one.

Afterall it wasn't the pan's fault my oven is too small (though it is a standard size oven)...I thought about getting the 17" one which would have fit in the oven but I decided to go a little smaller instead of just 1" smaller and that way I would have two "real" different sizes since I am keeping the 18" to do Paella the real way, over a campfire.

On a techical note you will need to season this pan and it comes with instructions on how to do it. Basically, if you are planning on cooking Paella in it the first day you get it, forget it. But as they say all good things come to those who wait.
